  • Rebound headaches: These are caused by overusing pain medications, specifically, those that contain caffeine, aspirin, ibuprofen, acetaminophen and other similar products.

Symptoms of headaches can range from mild to severe, and can include pain or discomfort in the head, neck, or face, as well as other symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, and sensitivity to light and sound.

Treatment for headaches depends on the type of headache and the underlying cause. In many cases, over-the-counter pain relievers such as ibuprofen, acetaminophen, or aspirin can be effective in managing symptoms.

For migraines, there are specific medications such as triptans, which can be taken at the onset of a migraine attack to alleviate the symptoms. For tension headaches, physical therapy, relaxation techniques, and stress management can be helpful.

Other types of headaches such as cluster headaches may require more specialized treatment, such as oxygen therapy or injectable medications.

Preventive measures such as maintaining a healthy lifestyle, avoiding triggers, and managing stress can also help to reduce the frequency and severity of headaches.
